Memorial Ceremony to Ancestor in Huang Di’s Native Place has been approved as our municipal intangible cultural heritage. The reporter learned that the municipal government had approved the first batches of 57 city-level intangible cultural heritage chosen by the Municipal Bureau of Culture.

    The 57 city-level intangible cultural heritage included 11 folk literature such as “Legend of Fair in Luoyang”, “Legend of Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai” and “Legend of Chinese Chess Culture”; 10 folk fine arts such as paper-cut, Song Mountain woodcarving and Song Mountain xylograph New Year pictures; 5 items of folk music such as ballad; 5 items of folk dances such as lion dance in Xiaoxiang, Xingyang lion dance and single-foot dance; 1 item traditional opera: Chang Xiangyu Henan opera voice; 8 folk handwork craft such as clay sculpture, fragrant parcel craft and Xinzheng City the Li family kitchen knife; 2 items of manufacture and trade convention including the planting craft of jujube tree in Xinzheng City and the planting craft of pomegranate tree in Xingyang City; 3 consumption convention such as the Cai’s steamed dumplings; 1 item of folk custom, 4 items of folk beliefs, 2 items of folk knowledge, 4 items referring to entertainment, tradition sports and athletics and 1 item of culture space, which is Memorial Ceremony to Ancestor in Huang Di’s Native Place.
