On March 24, the press conference of 2008 Memorial Ceremony to Ancestor in Huang Di’s Native Place was held in the News Office of the State Council. People's Daily, Xinhua News Agency, China National Radio, Central Committee Television, people Net, Sina Net as well as American Chinese Press, Taiwan Eastern Television, Phoenix Satellite Television and several other medias.

Deputy Secretary-General of Henan Provincial Political Consultative Conference Jia Hongwei presided over the press conference. Member of the standing committee of Zhengzhou Municipal Party Committee, Minister of Zhengzhou Public Department, Secretary-General of the Execution Committee of 2008 Memorial Ceremony to Ancestor in Huang Di’s Native Place Ding Shixian had introduced relevant preparation work of the Ceremony; and Vice President of Chinese Yan& Huang Di Cultural Research Association Qu Runhai had made a speech on the development of Yan& Huang Di Culture.

Subject of the Memorial Ceremony this year is "Building Chinese Spirits Home Together, Pray Good Fortune for Beijing Olympic Games". During the Ceremony, several activities such as "2008 International Forum of Huang Di’s Culture", "Opening Ceremony of Yan& Huang Di Culture Week", "Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition for Yan& Huang Di", "Exhibition of Landscape Sculpture for Olympic Games", "Lantern Riddle to Develop Huang Di’s Culture". Experts of Chinese civilization Yi Zhongtian, Yu Qiuyu etc. will be invited to give relevant lectures by then.

The Memorial Ceremony is held by Henan Provincial Political Consultative Conference and Chinese Yan& Huang Di Cultural Research Association and undertaken by Zhengzhou People's Government, Zhengzhou Municipal Political Consultative Conference and Xinzheng City People's Government.
